Accidental marks brings a new approach

It was just the other day while I was sanding a melamine board that I realised I was actually creating abstract marks on paper. This is interesting because part of the struggle with completing a work is knowing when to stop. If I remove the will to resolve a composition in my head I will be less judgemental on how the end result should turnout.

Random mark 2: melamine on foam, post card size

With this thinking I can test this process again and with actual drawing (scrubbing) onto other surfaces supports like paper and cardboard.

Random scrubs on paper

Scrubbing media types on and doing it blind for much. Not physically drawing or touching up by sight. When I stop and see it, if I feel it needs more I’ll turn it over and add another scrub. The integrity of paper is staring to get trashed. Will see how this goes and report on the next update.
